The Raiders NSW Cup and Jersey Flegg sides have had a successful weekend with both teams securing victories as the competitions reach their final stages.
In a thrilling match at Raiders Belconnen, the NSW Cup Raiders side emerged victorious with a 28-22 win over the Western Suburbs Magpies.
This triumph has propelled the team to seventh place on the ladder, just one point away from the top five.
With only three games remaining in the regular season before the finals, the Raiders are in a strong position to secure a playoff spot.
The team started the game with great intensity, scoring the first three tries courtesy of Harley Smith-Shields, Matt Frawley, and Josh Allen.
The Raiders' defense was resolute, not allowing a try until the 37th minute when Magpies center Semisi Kioa breached their line.
However, the Magpies staged a comeback in the second half, scoring two quick tries through Brandon Mansfield in the 43rd minute and Triston Reilly in the 48th minute.
This narrowed the scoreline to 18-16, creating a tense finish to the match.
