Cronulla Sharks Dive Deeper with Colquhoun's Contract Extension

LeagueNews.co | Jason Patrick

In a recent announcement, the Cronulla Sharks have secured the services of up-and-coming talent Jesse Colquhoun for an additional two years.

The contract extension guarantees Colquhoun's presence at the club until at least the end of 2026, with his previous deal already stretching to 2024.

With the ability to excel in multiple positions, such as the middle or on the edge, Colquhoun now has the opportunity to cement his spot within the Sharks' formidable forward pack.

However, he will face stiff competition, including the impending arrival of Addin Fonua-Blake from the New Zealand Warriors in 2025, along with re-signed player Braden Hamlin-Uele.

The Sharks boast an impressive roster, featuring the likes of Dale Finucane, Thomas Hazelton, Cameron McInnes, Briton Nikora, Toby Rudolf, and Teig Wilton, who are all committed beyond this season.

Yet, the futures of players such as Royce Hunt, Oregon Kaufusi, and Jack Williams remain undecided.

Despite the uncertain landscape, Colquhoun expressed his enthusiasm for staying with the Sharks for another two years, further solidifying his commitment to the team.
