Crichton's Pursuit: Roosters' Deadline Approaches

LeagueNews.co | Jess Malloy

Rugby Australia is reportedly preparing to renew their interest in Angus Crichton if he is not re-signed by the Sydney Roosters before November 1.

According to zerotackle.com, Crichton had an early background in rugby union, representing both New South Wales and Australian Schoolboys, though he never played professionally in that code.

He transitioned to the NRL, starting with the lower grades at the Sydney Roosters, then moving to the South Sydney Rabbitohs, where he made his debut in 2016.

After three years, he returned to the Roosters.

Since rejoining the Roosters, Crichton has had some challenges but has been a key player for the team under coach Trent Robinson since 2019.

There were earlier concerns about whether he would be re-signed on his current contract, which is now set to end in 2026, but his performance ultimately led to a renewal.
