According to Craig Bellamy, the Melbourne Storm's tactic of wearing opposition jerseys during training is nothing new and has been a regular occurrence for the past decade.

The revelation comes after photos of Storm players wearing Penrith Panthers jerseys went viral on social media.

While the starting side wore their usual Storm training gear, the rest of the squad acted as the opposition and donned Panthers jerseys.

This move caused a stir in the NRL world, with Penrith prop Moses Leota describing it as "weird." However, Bellamy dismissed the controversy, stating that the tactic is simply a way to remind the players of who they are facing.

He also took a swipe at reporters, suggesting that if they attended Storm training sessions more often, they would have already known about this practice.

The veteran coach emphasized that this has been done multiple times throughout the year and serves as a reminder of the opposition's strengths and players.
