Corowa: Mitchell needs 'teamwork' for Rabbitohs turnaround

Indigenous rugby league legend Larry Corowa is calling on Latrell Mitchell to step up and be a "team player" as the Rabbitohs struggle to find their footing in the 2024 season, facing their fourth consecutive loss.

Corowa, who was awarded an MBE in 1980, made his mark during his time with the Balmain Tigers and later the Gold Coast Seagulls.

A renowned try-scorer, he also represented New South Wales and donned the green and gold jersey for Australia.

As the Rabbitohs languish at the bottom of the ladder and coach Jason Demetriou's position hangs in the balance, Corowa insists that Mitchell must shift his focus and prioritize the team's success.

"Latrell needs to knuckle down and show why he's considered a top-notch player.

It's all about pulling together and giving it your all for the team," Corowa emphasized, echoing sentiments shared on Wide World of Sports.
