Sea Eagles forward Corey Waddell has copped a one-two punch from the NRL judiciary after pleading guilty to a Grade 1 High Tackle - Careless charge from the clash against the Sydney Roosters.
The hit on Joseph Sua'ali'i resulted in a $1000 fine for Waddell, who will be licking his wounds after the incident.
On the flip side, Roosters center Michael Jennings is also in hot water, facing a stint on the sidelines for a Grade 2 Careless High Tackle on Manly's Jason Saab.
The bone-crunching tackle early in the game left Saab needing a Head Injury Assessment, which he unfortunately failed.
Jennings is looking at a two-match ban with an early guilty plea, but that could be extended to three matches if he decides to fight the charge and loses at the judiciary.
Not to be outdone, Rooster Sitili Tupouniua has been slapped with a charge of Dangerous Contact but could dodge a more severe punishment with a $750 fine if he pleads guilty early.
It's a rough and tumble game out there, and these players are learning the hard way that the NRL doesn't take any prisoners when it comes to player safety.
