Corey Horsburgh's future uncertain after NSW Cup incident

LeagueNews.co | Cooper McEnroe

Corey Horsburgh, the tough as nails QLD Maroons rep forward, has copped his punishment from the NSWRL Judiciary after mixing it up in a NSW Cup showdown over the weekend.

Taking on the New Zealand Warriors, Horsburgh found himself in hot water after throwing fists and giving a cheeky headbutt to the opposition.

The Kiwi duo, Tom Ale and Jacob Laban, also found themselves on the wrong side of the law and were sent packing alongside Horsburgh.

According to Fox Sports scribe Darcie McDonald, Horsburgh decided to take the early guilty plea for two charges of striking.

As a result, the lad will be sitting on the sidelines for a total of three games - a classic case of copping a fair whack for his actions.

So, the fiery lad won't be seen smashing into the action in the NRL until Round 21 when the Raiders take on the South Sydney Rabbitohs.

It's a tough break for Horsburgh, but hopefully, he'll learn from this and come back stronger than ever.
