Corey Allan, the Dragons winger, has seen his career take unexpected turns since his memorable appearance with the Queensland Maroons. Injuries have hindered his ability to maintain the promising rise suggested by his sole 2020 Origin match.
Since then, Allan has maneuvered through several clubs, including the South Sydney Rabbitohs, Canterbury Bulldogs, Sydney Roosters, and the St George Illawarra Dragons.
With his contract ending in 2025, sources from Zero Tackle indicate that Allan may be moving once more, as the Dragons appear unlikely to renew his contract.
The club showed patience during Allan's lengthy recovery from an ACL injury throughout the 2024 season, but they reportedly have not been impressed enough to extend his stay in Kogarah.
Allan is now considering a move to the Super League for 2026.
His only obstacle in that potential transition is if another Sydney club makes a play for him, as the Brisbane-born player prefers to stay in the city where he has spent seven professional seasons.
At this stage, it's unclear which clubs might express interest in Allan, but it seems unlikely that Dragons coach Shane Flanagan will choose to keep the versatile back with the team.
