Connor Watson escapes MRC radar amidst three charges

In a classic clash between the Penrith Panthers and the Sydney Roosters, three players have found themselves in hot water with the Match Review Committee (MRC).

However, to the surprise of many, Connor Watson has managed to avoid the MRC's wrath this time around.

During the game, Watson was placed on report for a crusher tackle on James Fisher-Harris, sparking concerns that he could be facing a ban and adding to the Roosters' already mounting troubles.

Thankfully for Watson, the NSW Blues representative has dodged any fines or suspensions from the MRC.

Unfortunately for his teammates, Daniel Tupou and James Tedesco weren't as fortunate.

Both players have been charged with a Grade 1 Dangerous Contact offense, but will only be facing fines.

Tupou could be looking at $1800-2500, while Tedesco's fine ranges from $1000-1500.

Adding to the mix, Penrith Panthers' Sunia Turuva has also been charged for tripping James Tedesco and is looking at a fine of $1000-1500, depending on whether he pleads guilty early or not.

Just another day in the rough and tumble world of Rugby League.
