Cody Walker, the talented South Sydney Rabbitohs five-eighth, is experiencing a setback as he is set to miss out on the All Stars match due to an unfortunate injury.

The news, reported by zerotackle.com, states that Walker has suffered a calf strain and is currently in a race against time to recover for the Rabbitohs' season opener in Las Vegas, marking the start of the highly-anticipated 2024 season.

As the captain of the Indigenous All Stars team, Walker's absence leaves a void, with three potential players, including Latrell Mitchell, Josh Addo-Carr, and Nicho Hynes, vying for the captaincy.

Keith Griffiths, the Rabbitohs coach, expressed his disappointment, mentioning that Walker's availability for the match has been consistent year after year.

This injury surely poses a significant blow to both Walker and the team.
