Wests Tigers coach Benji Marshall and halfback Adam Doueihi addressed the media on Wednesday to discuss the latter's surprising decision to miss last week's game against the Raiders.
A reported disagreement over the club's direction had raised concerns, but things appear to have improved between them, with Doueihi affirming his commitment to the team despite his absence during the heavy 56-10 defeat in Canberra.
The Lebanese international is set to return as the starting halfback for the Tigers' upcoming clash against the Parramatta Eels this weekend.
Since Doueihi's unexpected announcement last Thursday, various rumors have circulated from Concord, including reports of Tigers players vaping in the club gym.
Marshall took this opportunity to address the vaping allegations, clearly rejecting the claims.
"I saw some things about vaping in the gym, I can tell you now, no one is vaping in the gym," Marshall stated.
"That's actually fabricated or misinformation, is there a vaping problem? (with players) Probably.
"With young men, you can't tell them whether they vape or smoke, or what not.
"I definitely can't control what they do 24/7. I'm not with them all the time."
