Cleary Takes Lead in Round Five Votes

In the latest NRL MVP standings following five rounds, Nathan Cleary has emerged as the clear leader.

His outstanding performance against the Melbourne Storm on Friday netted him 17 votes, bringing his season total to 65.

This marks the first time this season that Tanah Boyd has fallen from the top, with the Warriors halfback unable to secure any votes after the team's loss to the Sharks.

Dylan Edwards and Thomas Jenkins have stepped up in the rankings, taking the second and third spots, respectively.

Meanwhile, Scott Drinkwater from the North Queensland Cowboys has showcased consistent form, claiming the fourth position after a strong performance for the third week in a row.

This round proved to be divisive, as there was no player unanimously voted as the man of the match.

Instead, a range of players received notable recognition, with Haumole Olakau'atu, Tolutau Koula, Jye Gray, Tallis Duncan, Casey McLean, Dylan Edwards, Jaxon Purdue, Scott Drinkwater, Ezra Mam, Patrick Carrigan, Nicho Hynes, William Kennedy, Dane Gagai, Jacob Saifiti, Kai Pearce-Paul, and Jock Madden all earning five votes from various judges.
