Four-time premiership-winning coach Ivan Cleary has left the door open regarding his future with the Penrith Panthers after his contract expires.

In a recent interview with The Sydney Morning Herald, Cleary was queried about the potential of moving to two teams. The first option mentioned was the PNG Chiefs, a club set to join the NRL in 2028, right after Cleary and his son, Nathan, will be free agents.

There is speculation that the Chiefs could present an enticing offer for both Cleary and his son, and the Panthers coach is not dismissing this possibility. As he stated, "You never say no to anything." He went on to express his enthusiasm, saying, "You know what, I'm really excited about this."
