Chiefs Players to Enjoy Luxury Stay Abroad

The living arrangements for the Chiefs' players and their families during their stay in Papua New Guinea have been confirmed, with the NRL ensuring luxurious accommodations.

According to the Daily Telegraph, Airways Hotels and Residences will cater to the needs of the NRL Chiefs, committing to the construction of 80 villas along with community amenities for players and their families.

This exclusive retreat will feature a shuttle service to navigate the resort, which includes shopping areas, fitness centers, medical facilities, a bank, and nearby sports courts.

The players will also enjoy access to the serene Loloata Island Resort, a private island that allows them and their families to escape the bustle of the mainland.

Additionally, the Airways resort is conveniently located near the international airport, facilitating constant travel for players throughout the season.

This arrangement promises to offer unparalleled luxury for those players willing to move to the Melanesian region. Coupled with tax-free benefits, this is expected to attract prominent athletes to relocate.

Although there was interest shown by major hotel chains like Marriott and Hilton, the NRL chose Airways for their focus on long-term housing solutions.

With housing preparations well underway, Chiefs GM Michael Chammas is set to focus on assembling a competitive roster as the demanding preseason looms in November next year.
