Manly officials are optimistic that their fans will show appreciation rather than disdain as they prepare for two significant home games featuring Daly Cherry-Evans. He will reach a milestone of 350 games in the NRL during a match against the Dolphins at 4 Pines Park this Saturday.

Thirteen days later, Cherry-Evans will play his final game with Manly against the Warriors, possibly before moving to the Roosters or retiring. Both games are expected to unfold amidst significant tension and drama.

Cherry-Evans' announcement to leave the Sea Eagles just three weeks into the season has upset many fans. Initially supportive, the fanbase's enthusiasm has waned, particularly as the team has struggled, winning only seven times since his announcement and currently grappling with a four-game losing streak that severely impacts their playoff chances. Tensions among the supporters are palpable, as some call for his removal while others advocate for a respectful send-off, recognizing his 15 years of service to the club.

There are concerns that disgruntled fans may express their discontent during the upcoming home games or even boycott them. Nonetheless, Sea Eagles CEO Tony Mestrov remains hopeful that fans will honor Cherry-Evans appropriately. He expressed to Yahoo Sport Australia: "Daly is the most-capped player and a premiership winner and I'm sure fans will want to show their appreciation for his contribution over many years. To play 350 games is a remarkable achievement and is to be applauded. The crowds at 4 Pines have been great all year and we'd love to see big numbers attend the final two home games."
