Charlie Xuereb, a remarkable talent not yet 18, is gaining recognition as a standout prospect in both rugby league and rugby union.

For the past decade, Patrician Brothers in Blacktown has produced several exceptional athletes, including notable figures like Canterbury Bulldogs skipper Stephen Crichton, Wests Tigers co-captain Jarome Luai, international player Spencer Leniu, and the May brothers-Tyrone, Terrell, and Taylan.

Now, a new star is emerging from this esteemed institution, with officials regarding him as the most promising young player to emerge in years.

Highly sought after in both codes, Charlie Xuereb significantly contributed to his school's consecutive victories in the Peter Mullhond Cup and has been impressive for the Penrith Panthers as well as the NSW Waratahs in the Under-16s Super Rugby competition.

Idolizing Greg Inglis because of their shared Aboriginal heritage and Gold Coast Titans captain Tino Fa'asuamaleaui, Xuereb acknowledges that he still has areas to improve on in his game. He is committed to enhancing his skills to help his teams secure victories.

"My mum and dad mean everything to me," he shared. "They're the reason why I'm where I am and I owe everything to them."
