Castleford close on Bulldogs forward Todd

Bulldogs forward bound for Super League transfer

Jack Todd has played 12 matches for Canterbury's NSW Cup side this season, averaging 84 running metres and 20.5 tackles in 38 minutes per game.

His tackle efficiency is 92.5%. The Bulldogs' NSW Cup side finished seventh and missed the finals for a fourth consecutive season.

Love Rugby League reports that the 24-year-old has verbally agreed to join Castleford Tigers, where he is reportedly 'earmarked' to start at lock next season.

Todd has not played an NRL match since his 2025 debut, in which he made four appearances.

He joined Canterbury's academy pathways in 2019 after moving from Dungowan to Sydney.

Castleford has signed several players with NRL experience for 2027, including Damien Cook, Mathew Feagai, Tyrell Sloan and Mason Lino.

The club's head-coaching change saw Paul Rowley take over from newly signed Wests Tigers assistant Ryan Carr.

Castleford had targeted Dragons forward Josh Kerr, but he agreed to join Hull FC alongside Daly Cherry-Evans.

A deal for Todd would require the Tigers to release players because they are already over the 10-player overseas quota.
