Officials from the Sea Eagles have advised Jake Trbojevic to take the rest of the season off due to health concerns stemming from his recent concussion. Mark Carroll, a Manly legend, has voiced his worries about Trbojevic's wellbeing, particularly after the player missed the team's 26-12 defeat to the Wests Tigers, effectively diminishing their hopes for reaching the finals.

Trbojevic has been sidelined as part of a mandatory 11-day concussion protocol after receiving a head knock in a match against the Raiders. This incident marks the third serious concussion he has faced in just four months.

Furthermore, Channel Nine reporter Danny Weidler has revealed that Manly officials are encouraging Trbojevic to sit out the remaining three matches of the season. With the team needing favorable results to qualify for the finals and the likelihood of winning their last three games appearing slim, it seems the season is nearing its end. The officials are prioritizing Trbojevic's health amidst growing concerns from fans and players alike.

At 31, Trbojevic may have to agree to a pay cut to continue his career with the Sea Eagles beyond his current contract. Nevertheless, he remains a beloved figure among the fanbase. As his season seems to be ending, supporters are rallying for his best interests, which aligns with the opinions expressed by Carroll.

In an interview with Wide World of Sports, Carroll mentioned reaching out to Trbojevic amid rising concerns about his future in football. "Concussions stay in your body. I look at Jake, he is one of the most technical defenders I've seen since Steve Menzies," Carroll stated. He added, "But this game of rugby league... you don't realize until you retire the effects these concussions have had on you. You can't say (he should) retire, but hopefully it doesn't get to the stage where he has to be medically retired."

Carroll has openly discussed his own struggles with suspected CTE following his football career. He also voiced concerns not only about Trbojevic but also about Roosters player Victor Radley, who has faced multiple concussions this season, raising alarms regarding his health and prospects in the game.
