In a groundbreaking move, former NRL enigma Todd Carney has scored a coaching gig with the Gold Coast Titans in a junior pathways role.
This marks Carney's first official coaching position in the NRL, after leading the charge as a captain-coach in Byron Bay back in 2024.
Not to mention, he also dabbled in the art of sports commentary with the Triple M Radio team that same year.
Known for both his on-field skills and off-field shenanigans, Carney made a name for himself during his illustrious career, which saw him strut his stuff in 221 top-flight games for powerhouse teams like the Canberra Raiders, Sydney Roosters, and Cronulla Sharks in Australia.
And let's not forget his stint with the Catalans Dragons, Salford Red Devils, and Hull KR in the English Super League.
In a candid interview with News Corp, Carney expressed his gratitude for the opportunity, calling it "massive" as he celebrates nearly two years of sobriety.
"The opportunity to work with the Titans is massive," Carney declared.
"It's another step in the right direction.
Two years ago, I never would have imagined myself working with an NRL organization." Here's to a new chapter for the legendary Todd Carney as he embarks on this exciting coaching journey.
