Canberra lock Dodd in until 2029

Dodd re-signs until end of 2029 NRLW season

Hollie-Mae Dodd has stood out for England during the past two weeks at her second Rugby League World Cup.

The Canberra Raiders have secured the 23-year-old for three more NRLW seasons, keeping her at the club through the end of 2029.

Dodd has played 33 games for Canberra since 2023, when she became the NRLW competition's first English signing.

A foundation player, she is now the club's longest-contracted NRLW player.

Coach Darrin Borthwick said the extension offered Dodd security after a strong season and allowed her to focus on the World Cup.

"With Hollie, to give her some security on the back of a good season so she could focus on her World Cup duties is good," Borthwick said.

He added: "Hollie is a foundation player, she's been here since the inaugural side, so to lock her away for a few more years is terrific.

"I'm happy to keep working with her and there's been a big improvement in her football.

"I know she loves the club and I'm looking forward to seeing her growth again given that she's still only a young player.

"I'm excited that she's chosen to stay here for a few more years and it gives her some stability as well. I'm happy for Hollie."

Dodd said Canberra had felt like home since she moved to the NRLW and welcomed the chance to remain.

"I'm so excited to be staying at Canberra for another three years," Dodd said.

"It's been home since moving over to the NRLW so to get the opportunity to stay is something I'm really looking forward to.

"We had a great year and I can't wait to continue to build on that with my sisters."
