The South Sydney Rabbitohs secured a dominant victory over the Penrith Panthers, with a strong first-half performance that saw them score five tries.

Despite a push from the Panthers in the second half, the Rabbitohs ultimately held on for a 28-18 win.

The nrl.com.au report highlighted that the Panthers, missing key players Nathan Cleary and Dylan Edwards, struggled and made uncharacteristic errors.

Rabbitohs winger Campbell Graham also suffered an injury during the match, adding to the toll of the game.

On the Panthers side, they faced multiple injuries with Scott Sorensen failing an HIA, Trent Toelau hurting his knee, and Brian To'o leaving late with a hamstring issue, compounding their defeat.

This win for the Rabbitohs marks the third consecutive loss for the Panthers, a rare occurrence for the team who last faced this streak in 2019.
