Bulldogs' Spine Faces Major Overhaul Ahead

‘Guarantee a new 9, 7, 6 and 1’: NRL great’s shock Bulldogs call despite successful reshuffle

NRL legend Luke Keary has offered a striking evaluation of the Canterbury Bulldogs' spine, indicating that a major overhaul is on the horizon at the end of the current season.

In the last couple of years, coach Cameron Ciraldo has made numerous adjustments to his spine as he seeks the ideal combination and balance.

These changes include signing Lachlan Galvin, parting ways with Toby Sexton and Reed Mahoney, and experimenting with placements in the crucial spine positions, even shifting captain Stephen Crichton from the centres to the halves.

Keary's observations have led him to make a daring forecast about the Bulldogs' future, as they strive for their first premiership since 2004.

"We will see a new Bulldogs spine. I can guarantee you there will be a new nine, seven, six and one," Keary stated on NRL 360.

"Galvin will be the six. They need to find a seven. Whether it's (Alex) Conti or (Mitchell) Woods or need to get one."
