Bulldogs sign rising star for NRL future

In a move that signals hope for the future, a young Bulldogs forward has secured his spot in the NRL ranks as the Canterbury Bulldogs look towards rebuilding after the end of their season.

With their eyes set on climbing higher in the rankings following a 6th place finish, the Bulldogs boast a top-notch junior development system with a wave of promising young talents on the rise.

After a thrilling golden-point victory against the Canberra Raiders secured their place in the 2024 Jersey Flegg Cup Grand Final, it has been revealed that the impressive forward, Jack Underhill, has bagged his first NRL contract.

Hailing from the Sunshine Coast, this 20-year-old has cut his teeth in the SG Ball Cup, Jersey Flegg Cup, and NSW Cup competitions for the Bulldogs, as well as representing the U17s QLD Country team.Training alongside the NRL squad in the upcoming pre-season, Underhill will then progress to a train and trial contract in the following year, setting the stage for a proper development contract in the 2027 NRL season.
