The Canterbury Bulldogs have announced the long-term re-signing of promising forward Harry Hayes.
In a significant endorsement from the club, Hayes, originally contracted until the end of 2026, chose to re-sign with the Bulldogs until 2029, avoiding negotiations with rival teams starting November 1.
This new deal includes a three-year extension, with reports suggesting that Hayes has received an upgraded salary for the 2026 season due to his impressive performance in the NRL.
At just 23 years old, Hayes has made 27 appearances for the Bulldogs since his debut in Round 20 last year.
Phil Gould, director of rugby league at Canterbury, praised Hayes's development, stating, "Harry has made great leaps in the last eighteen months," in a club statement confirming the extension.
