The Bulldogs have made yet another impressive signing, adding Josh Curran to their pack on a new two-year deal.
Curran, a former Warrior, was granted an early release from his contract with 12 months still remaining.
The edge forward had joined the Warriors in the middle of the 2019 season and went on to play 60 games for the club, including this year's finals series.
Warriors chief executive Cameron George explained the club's decision, stating, "We recently advised Josh that it was unlikely we would be able to re-sign him beyond next year.
We told him we were happy for him to see out his contract, but if he did find an option that provided him with longer-term security, to please come back and talk to us."
Clearly, the Bulldogs saw the potential in Curran and wasted no time in securing his services.
"We just had to sign him," a Bulldogs official said.
"He's a talented player and will add a lot to the pack.
We're thrilled to have him on board."
Curran wasted no time either, flying to Sydney on Thursday morning to meet with Bulldogs officials and sign his contract.
Training is expected to commence next month, giving Curran ample time to settle in with his new team.
The Warriors expressed their gratitude for Curran's contributions over the past five seasons.
"We really appreciate the contribution Josh has made in his time with us," George said.
"He leaves with the best wishes, and we're glad he has found a new club that offers him longer-term security."
With their ongoing retention and recruitment drive, the Bulldogs are showing their determination to build a strong and competitive squad for the future.
Curran's signing is just the latest addition to their growing roster, and fans can expect to see more exciting announcements in the coming months.
