Heartbreaking Finish: Bulldogs Suffer First Loss in NRLW

In a tough and competitive match, the Bulldogs faced their first defeat in the NRLW, losing 18-14 to the St George Illawarra Dragons in Round 3.

The game concluded dramatically with a try from the Dragons just 30 seconds before the final whistle, dashing the Bulldogs' hopes after missed field goal attempts in a commendable performance featuring crucial try-saving tackles.

New players including Hope Millard, Monica Tagoai, Paea Uilou, and Anneka Wilson made their debuts, marking their names in club history.

Tagoai made an impactful entry, scoring her first NRLW try by breaking through and carrying two defenders over the line.

Although Preston's conversion attempt just missed, it kept the Bulldogs in contention, trailing by a converted try.

In a coordinated effort, the Bulldogs leveled the score thanks to a stunning assist from Ashleigh Quinlan, who set up Adi Vani Buleki for her inaugural NRLW try.

Preston successfully converted, equalizing the game with just over ten minutes left in the first half.

Despite enduring several challenging moments, the Bulldogs' resilient defense held firm, ensuring the teams went to halftime at a stalemate of 10-all.
