In a thrilling showdown at Leichhardt Oval, the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs have booked their ticket to the Jersey Flegg Cup Grand Final with a nail-biting 15-14 victory over the Canberra Raiders.

The Bulldogs, who were last year's champions, showed their championship pedigree as they outlasted the Raiders in a gritty contest.

The Bulldogs will now face the winner of the Raiders/Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks clash in the Preliminary final next Saturday for a shot at glory in the season finale a week later.

The Sharks, on the other hand, kept their championship dreams alive by putting on a scintillating display to defeat the Penrith Panthers in the Minor Semi-final.

It was a tense battle between the two sides, with neither team able to break the deadlock after 70 minutes of play.

The match descended into golden point after two periods of extra time, with the outcome hanging in the balance.

But in the 85th minute, Bulldogs halfback Cassius Tia stepped up and coolly slotted his fourth field goal to secure victory for his team and propel them into the 2024 Jersey Flegg Cup Grand Final on 29 September.

The stage is set for a thrilling showdown as the Bulldogs look to defend their title and etch their names in Rugby League history once again.

And for the Sharks, it's a chance to prove their mettle and seize their moment of glory in the ultimate test of skill and strategy.

The countdown to the Grand Final is on, and the Rugby League world eagerly awaits the battle that will determine this year's Jersey Flegg Cup champions.
