LeagueNews.co | Jason Patrick

In Round 16 of the Senior Pathways, the Bulldogs celebrated a crucial victory against the Canberra Raiders at Belmore Sports Ground, marking their first win in six weeks.

The match also saw both Jersey Flegg Cup teams narrowly lose, while the Ron Massey Cup team secured a victory in their Round 12 matchup.

The Bulldogs started strong, with Jonathan Sua showcasing his speed down the left flank, setting up Enari Tuala for a try, putting Canterbury ahead 6-0.

However, Canterbury's mounting ill discipline was evident when Tuala was sin-binned after a series of penalties, allowing the Raiders to capitalize.

Halfback Ethan Sanders executed a quick short play that allowed second-rower Noah Martin to score, leveling the match at 6-6.

Despite being down a player, the Bulldogs remained threatening.

A critical offload from second-rower Luke Spinks enabled fullback Blake Taaffe to score, reclaiming the lead for Canterbury at 12-6.

The Bulldogs' resilience and tactical play ultimately led to a hard-fought victory against the Raiders.
