Wests Tigers faced a tough defeat against the Broncos in Round 5 of the NRL, with a final score of 46-24.

The match began with Jesse Arthars scoring for the Broncos, but Wests Tigers quickly gained good field position, leading to a try by Luke Laulilii thanks to an impressive play by Lachlan Galvin.

Despite Brendan Piakura being sin-binned, Wests Tigers had to defend multiple sets on their line throughout the game.

The Broncos continued to dominate, with Xavier Savage scoring a hat-trick and Arthars, Dale Copley, and Selwyn Cobbo also crossing the line.

Wests Tigers managed to keep the score close with tries from William Kei and Laulilii, as well as conversions and a penalty goal from Zac Cini.

However, the Broncos' strong attack ultimately proved too much for Wests Tigers to handle.

Despite the loss, Wests Tigers coach Robbie Farah commended his team's effort and resilience during the match, stating, "I can't fault the effort of the boys.

We were down on troops and had a few guys making their NRL debut, but they all stood up and did their job." Farah also acknowledged the Broncos' strong performance, adding, "The Broncos were just too good on the night.

We made a few errors and they punished us for it."

Overall, the match highlighted the Broncos' offensive prowess and Wests Tigers' ability to fight back despite facing challenges.

The defeat serves as a learning experience for Wests Tigers as they continue to develop and improve throughout the NRL season.

Farah concluded, "There were certainly positives to take from the game, and we'll continue to work hard and focus on the next match."
