The Brisbane Broncos are currently one of the standout teams in the NRL finals, and much of their success can be credited to the dynamic fullback Reece Walsh. However, star utility Billy Walters has played a pivotal role in the team's achievements as well.
Stepping in for the injured Ezra Mam, Walters has excelled in the halves recently, solidifying his status as one of the Broncos' key players during the latter part of 2025.
Unfortunately, the 31-year-old will not be able to maintain his impressive performance this year or the start of next year. The Courier Mail has reported a major setback for Walters.
He has sustained an ACL tear, necessitating a full knee reconstruction, effectively ending his exceptional 2025 season.
Walters, who will be facing the second knee reconstruction of his career, is expected to undergo surgery in the coming weeks.
He is anticipated to be sidelined for at least nine months, which means he will miss a significant portion of the upcoming season.
