Brisbane Broncos legend Darius Boyd has reportedly bid farewell to the club, joining Kevin Walters in their exit from Red Hill.
A stalwart behind the scenes, Boyd had been guiding the next generation of outside backs, nurturing talents like Reece Walsh, Jesse Arthars, Deine Mariner, Selwyn Cobbo, and Kotoni Staggs.
However, his tenure as a mentor at Red Hill has come to an end, with no plans to return for the 2025 NRL season.
According to The Courier-Mail, Boyd informed Brisbane of his decision to step down a week before Kevin Walters was let go and Michael Maguire took over as head coach.
It seems that Boyd's departure was influenced by concerns about the club's football program's direction and his readiness to explore new opportunities.
