In another thrilling match, emerging Broncos talent Deine Mariner made his international debut for Samoa and impressed with two tries against England, helping his team secure a 34-18 win.

Over in the women's tournament, the Jillaroos dominated their matches and secured a spot in the finals without conceding a single point.

Broncos and Jillaroos Captain Ali Brigginshaw led her team with finesse, and winger Julia Robinson put on a stellar performance by scoring six tries in just one game, setting a new record.
