The Brisbane Broncos underscored their strength in the NRLW by decisively defeating the Cowboys 50-4 at Langlands Park in Brisbane.
In a key clash between the second and third teams on the ladder, the game showcased only one dominant side. The Broncos started strong, scoring their first try in the eighth minute and maintaining an explosive pace until the 68th minute, resulting in a total of nine tries.
Captain Tamika Upton was a standout performer, achieving a hat-trick that included two tries in the first half. Upton solidified her lead as the league's top try scorer, bringing her season total to 18.
At halftime, the Broncos led a commanding 30-0 and continued their offensive push in the second half, adding another four tries to the tally.
The Cowboys managed to score their only points in the 61st minute, thanks to a try by centre Jasmine Peters.
In a different matchup, the Gold Coast Titans clinched the sixth and final finals spot at the expense of the Parramatta Eels.
A thrilling extra-time field goal from Lauren Brown secured a 17-16 victory for the Titans over the Raiders, allowing them to leapfrog the Eels into sixth place.
