In the penultimate round of the Hostplus Cup, Broncos Affiliates South Logan faced off against Wynnum Manly on Minjerribah/North Stradbroke Island, as reported by broncos.com.au.
The Magpies, who currently hold the top-of-the-table position, secured a 42-30 victory over the Seagulls, thanks to the impressive performances of fullback Tristan Sailor and winger Jordan Pereira.
Just four minutes into the game, Sailor set up Pereira for Souths' first try, showcasing their strong partnership.
Throughout the match, Sailor displayed his skills by assisting in four tries through kicks, flick passes, and conventional passes, as well as covering 154 meters with 18 runs, four line break assists, and one line break.
He also sprinted 50 meters to score a try.
Pereira, on the other hand, contributed significantly with 18 runs for 233 meters, two tries, three line breaks, and 12 tackle breaks.
His outstanding performance catapulted him to second place in the Hostplus Cup for tackle breaks.
Additionally, Logan Bayliss and Ben Te Kura, both playing as props, made notable contributions with 10 runs and 101 meters, and eight runs for 74 meters and seven tackle breaks, respectively.
