Brisbane dismantled Newcastle 40-16 at home to reach the NRLW preliminary finals and underline their premiership credentials.
The Broncos scored within the opening minute and produced six tries before halftime, leading 34-0 at the interval.
Newcastle's collapse began when Lucy Spain dropped a Jesse Southwell kick, allowing Romy Teitzel to race through for the opening try.
Southwell, Teitzel and Tamika Upton, all former Knights, then played major roles against their old club.
Teitzel scored twice before the break, while Upton created three first-half tries and added a dummy-half effort herself.
Brisbane managed the second half carefully, with superstar fullback Upton withdrawn 20 minutes before full-time.
The victory sends the Broncos into a final-four clash with the Titans next week.
Minor premiers the Roosters will face Canberra in the other qualifier.
Brisbane did suffer two concerns, with Bree Spreadborough helped from the field because of a right-leg injury.
