After switching from touch football to rugby league two years ago, Brisbane centre Georgia Bartlett is preparing for the biggest test of her young career: facing Jessica Sergis in Sunday's NRLW grand final.
Bartlett was nominated for NRLW rookie of the year at Wednesday's Dally M awards, where Sergis was named in the competition's team of the year.
Sergis has represented NSW since 2017 and Australia since 2019, and won the 2019 Dally M Medal and Golden Boot.
Bartlett has scored six tries and set up eight in 13 games this season, and has not missed a tackle in her past three matches.
She helped contain Gold Coast centre Georgia Grey in Brisbane's 20-8 preliminary-final win, and now faces another demanding defensive assignment.
"I have got a tough battle this weekend but I am always up for a challenge," Bartlett told AAP.
