AJ Brimson, a player for the Gold Coast Titans, has received unanimous approval from an International Rugby League tribunal to switch his Tier 1 eligibility from Australia to England.
This decision allows Brimson, who qualifies to represent England through his mother, Vanessa, to participate in the upcoming historic Ashes series against Australia and the 2026 World Cup.
At 26 years old, Brimson has played for Queensland in four Origin series in 2021, 2022, and 2023.
However, he has yet to compete for the Kangaroos at the Test level.
Despite playing for Australia in the 2019 IRL 9s World Cup in Sydney and representing the Junior Kangaroos against France in the same year, he has not been selected for a Senior International Match.
This ruling opens new opportunities for the versatile utility player to contribute to England's international rugby league efforts.
