Brandon Smith breaks silence after Sydney Roosters breach notice

Roosters gun Brandon Smith has come clean after copping a breach notice that has cast doubt on his future with the club.

The Monday after the Roosters took a hit from the Cowboys in Round 13, Coach Trent Robinson called some meetings to review the team's performance.

Smith, however, was nowhere to be found at these crucial sessions, leading to Tricolours bigwigs slapping him with a breach notice.

As a result of his no-show and subsequent breach notice, Smith has been dropped from the line-up for the upcoming showdown against the Eels.

The talented hooker admitted on James Graham's podcast, The Bye Round, that the whole mess was his own doing.

It seems he made a rookie mistake by leaving his phone at home when he went out for a coffee date with his missus.

Smith is now sweating bullets over the possibility of his hefty $850,000 contract getting the chop.

Will he be able to redeem himself and get back in the good graces of the Roosters hierarchy? Only time will tell.

But one thing's for sure, in the game of Rugby League, there's no room for errors off the field.
