Jayden Brailey, a standout both on the field and off it, has remained stoic in the face of contract speculation swirling around him like a scrum.

Reports from news.com.au have suggested that the Knights may be considering moving on the talented hooker, but Brailey, displaying the mental toughness synonymous with Rugby League players, has taken it all in his stride.

The 28-year-old, who still has a year left on his current deal signed in 2021, has acknowledged the swirling rumors regarding his future at the club.

Rumors of a potential shake-up involving Brailey and other senior players have reached his ears, but he remains focused on his performance on the field as the Knights charge towards the finals.

"There's no progression with any of that, so the focus for me is trying to play my best footy because I've still got next year at the club," Brailey said.

"Whatever happens on the back of that will happen, but there's no progress on all that.

"It was probably a bit weird 10 weeks ago when it first started floating around because it was a bit of a shock, but it's a business and it's what we all signed up for," he added, displaying the resilience and understanding that is the hallmark of a seasoned Rugby League player.

As the whispers continue to circulate, Brailey remains composed, knowing that in the game of Rugby League, nothing is certain until it happens.

For now, he continues to focus on his performances on the field, ready to tackle whatever comes his way with the same determination that has seen him succeed in the tough world of professional sport.
