NRLW: Botille Vette-Welsh ditches Wests Tigers for Newcastle Knights
Australia Jillaroos star and NSW Sky Blues representative, Botille Vette-Welsh, has decided to trade in her stripes and join forces with the Newcastle Knights for the next three seasons.
This move, reported by zerotackle.com, comes after Tamika Upton opted for an early release from her contract to return to the Brisbane Broncos.
Making her debut in the inaugural NRLW match back on September 8, 2018, Vette-Welsh has consistently proven to be a standout player in the competition.
Not only has she shone on the rugby league field, but she has also represented New Zealand in touch football and athletics.
"Newcastle is buzzing right now with the team's success, State of Origin glory, and the upcoming NRLW Magic Round," Vette-Welsh expressed in a statement.
"The Hunter community's passion for NRLW is unrivaled, and I am eager to dive in and work alongside the girls."
This transfer marks an exciting chapter in Vette-Welsh's sporting career, as she looks to make a significant impact in the Knights' jersey.
