Blues Victorious Thanks to Dynamic Duo

Liam Martin runs the ball during an Origin match

In the aftermath of New South Wales' victorious decider on Wednesday night, backrowers Liam Martin and Hudson Young showcased their teamwork, despite their playful rivalry.

However, when the game concluded at Lang Park, an exception emerged in their banter regarding who is the more eccentric player.

"Huddo says me, I say it's Huddo. We'll blame each other, it's the old Spider-Man meme where they're pointing at each other," remarked Martin.

He added, "I love running out with Huddy, he's a great fella and he's like me, he just competes."

Continuing, he noted, "He always turns up and loves the tough stuff, we said to each other tonight we'd do whatever it takes for the team and I thought we did that."

While Nathan Cleary snagged man of the match honors and Payne Haas impressed, it was Martin and Young whose relentless spirit truly embodied the victory mindset needed for the Blues.

Their play style is likened to a rugged ute, fueled by the energy of Cold Chisel records, always ready to give their all even in tough situations.

Young displayed remarkable resilience, shaking off early infractions and a heavy hit from Maroons hooker Harry Grant, demonstrating his growth during the series.

He unleashed his fury throughout the game, ultimately finishing with the highest runs and meters among Blues forwards.
