Isabelle Kelly, the captain of NSW, has expressed her admiration for her teammates after they achieved a remarkable 3-0 victory over Queensland in the State of Origin series.
The final match of this year's series took place on Thursday evening, where the Blues triumphed over the Maroons with a score of 12-4 on the Gold Coast.
This victory marks the first instance of a three-match sweep in the history of Women's State of Origin.
"I am pretty speechless," Kelly reflected on the historic achievement.
"We didn't make it easy for ourselves but we got the job done."
She added, "I knew this year there was something really special about the whole wider squad."
Kelly emphasized, "Every time we came together, we supported each other and that showed in the six-week block."
"Everyone put in so much to make sure the end product was what we wanted, which was 3-0."
The Blues demonstrated their strength, particularly early in the game, thanks to the dynamic performances of prop Ellie Johnston and standout lock Olivia Kernick.
