Blues call their shots for Origin's second round

New South Wales Blues head coach Laurie Daley has confirmed the team for Game 2 of the 2025 State of Origin series as they aim for a consecutive victory.

Following a decisive win in Brisbane, which marked their second consecutive success at the venue, Daley has decided to make minimal changes for the upcoming match in Perth.

Mitchell Barnett, a prop from the New Zealand Warriors, has been ruled out due to a knee injury that has ended his season.

To fill this gap, Daley has promoted Max King, who had an outstanding performance off the interchange bench in Game 1, to start at prop alongside Payne Haas.

Additionally, Stefano Utoikamanu, who was a reserve in Game 1, has secured a place on the bench ahead of Terrell May, who was notably overlooked for Game 1, and Keaon Koloamatangi, who has been performing well for the South Sydney Rabbitohs.

Koloamatangi has also been included in the squad for Game 2, assigned jersey number 19, and will be on standby to step in for any forwards if needed, given his versatility to play both in the middle and on the edge.
