Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles are aiming to secure a spot in the top five of the NSW Cup by defeating the Sydney Roosters this Sunday.

Currently sitting in sixth place with 26 points, Blacktown Workers are tied with the fifth-placed Penrith.

A victory over the last-placed Roosters, along with some favorable outcomes from other matches, could propel Blacktown Workers into the top five by the end of Sunday.

In addition, Blacktown Workers will benefit from the inclusion of players such as Ben Condon, Jakob Arthur, Kaeo Weekes, Morgan Harper, and Gordon Chan Kum Tong, who were not selected for the NRL team's match against the Roosters on Thursday.

The upcoming matches for the Panthers, Warriors, Newtown Jets, and South Sydney Rabbitohs will also impact Blacktown Workers' chances of climbing the ladder.

With tough fixtures against the Panthers, Warriors, and Bulldogs remaining, it is crucial for Blacktown Workers to not underestimate the Roosters.

In their previous encounter in round 18, the Sea Eagles convincingly defeated the Roosters 48-6 at 4 Pines Park.
