Broncos hooker Billy Walters has dropped the microphone on his guest radio spot with Triple M after taking offense to a leading host's criticism of his dad and coach, Kevin.
The Walters family are reportedly not happy with the breakfast show's harsh words towards the Brisbane players and Kevin's coaching skills.
Greg Martin, Dan Anstey, and Margaux Parker, who happens to be the wife of former Broncos captain Corey, are the faces of the show in Brisbane.
Walters had a sweet deal with Triple M, approved by the NRL, where he shared his rugby league insights regularly and gained quite a following.
However, things took a turn for the worse when Martin, a former Wallaby with nine tests under his belt, went all out on the Broncos following their brutal 41-16 loss to the Bulldogs in Round 21.
Walters decided enough was enough and decided to step away from the mic.
It seems like the Broncos "rockstars" aren't ready to take any more hits, whether on the field or over the airwaves.
Just goes to show that in the game of radio, just like in rugby league, sometimes you gotta know when to pass the ball and move on to the next play.
