Craig Bellamy, the renowned coach of the Melbourne Storm, is rumored to be considering a move to coach the Gold Coast Titans, motivated by a desire to be closer to his extended family, including his daughter and grandchildren who live in Queensland.

The 65-year-old is facing a significant decision this week regarding his future, as he weighs the prospect of continuing for a 24th year with the Storm.

Bellamy's current contract, signed in 2022, allows him to evaluate his position annually, whether to remain as head coach or shift to a coaching director role.

Despite showing no signs of slowing down, even taking on additional responsibilities by joining the NSW State of Origin team as an advisor, Bellamy's potential transition to the Titans is generating considerable speculation.

Players Cameron Munster and Jahrome Hughes expressed uncertainty about his decision, highlighting the anticipation surrounding his future.

NRL reporter Zane Bojack has reported that Bellamy is likely to announce a one-year extension with the Storm for 2026, but suggests he will ultimately move to the Gold Coast in 2027.

Bojack noted on the 'InZane Rugby League' program that he has heard indications Bellamy prefers to return north.

He mentioned, "I don't want to get Titans fans too excited, but one thing I heard at the weekend...

we know Des Hasler is gone (eventually)...

is there a chance Craig Bellamy could be coaching them in 2027?"

While the Storm has attempted to secure Bellamy with consultancy roles, Bojack expressed doubts about his interest in such positions, asserting, "I think he's a bit like Wayne Bennett and he wants to be a coach." This potential shift could mark a significant change in the dynamics of both the Storm and the Titans in the coming years, especially as fans await Bellamy's decision.
