Ben Gardiner has been appointed as the assistant coach for the Perth Bears, working alongside head coach Mal Meninga.
Known for his extensive experience and expertise, Gardiner was most recently with the Penrith Panthers, where he contributed to their premiership victories in 2023 and 2024.
He also serves as the head coach for the Samoa international team.
Gardiner's impressive coaching resume spans over two decades, during which he has held positions at several notable clubs, including the Sydney Roosters, Cronulla Sharks, South Sydney Rabbitohs, and Wests Tigers.
He has a strong history with the North Sydney Bears, having previously served as the Head Coach in the NSW Cup.
Gardiner has signed a five-year contract with the Perth Bears, reinforcing the team's commitment to building a competitive coaching staff.
