The Perth Bears have set their sights on Bulldogs sensation, Jonathan Sua, aiming to bring him to the west.
Sua has demonstrated immense potential in the NSW Cup, becoming a prolific try-scorer by accumulating 15 tries over 21 games while also notching 22 line-breaks.
Recently, he was included in the club's top 30 NRL roster, with Wide World of Sports indicating that the new franchise is keen on acquiring his skills for their inaugural season.
He made his NRL debut during Round 27 of the 2024 season against the North Queensland Cowboys, but has yet to land a second appearance.
In his initial game at the top level, the young talent impressed, accumulating 175 running metres and completing 20 runs, confirming his capabilities.
His promotion to the NRL roster hints that he may soon make an appearance in Cameron Ciraldo's squad this year.
Currently, he is set to become a free agent at the end of the year, with his manager Chris Orr acknowledging discussions about a potential move to the Bears.
"Perth have shown interest in him so Jonathan has some decisions to make," his manager Gavin Orr told Wide World of Sports.
The Bears recently announced the signing of Mavrik Geyer, whose father played for the Western Reds in the 1990s.
