Parramatta's interim coach, Trent Barrett, has brushed off questions surrounding the future of Mitchell Moses, showing his laser focus on the upcoming clash with Penrith.

Barrett, in classic coach fashion, emphasized the team effort in taking down the Warriors and declared that the players who performed deserve the spotlight ahead of Friday's showdown.

He remained tight-lipped on Moses' situation, stating that the injured player has been handling his rehab well.

The 29-year-old playmaker is tied to the Eels until 2026, with possible extensions till 2028, but rumors have been swirling after reports of a heated outburst following a loss to Newcastle.

Managed by cousin Isaac, Moses has been at the center of attention, especially with the recent departure of Blaize Talagi to Penrith.

Despite potential tensions between Moses and the club, Barrett refused to feed into speculation, choosing to focus on the team's performance instead.

When pressed about Moses' mindset, Barrett simply stated, "He's had surgery, so no, he hasn't been around too much, but, mate, I think he's fine."

In true coaching form, Barrett's deflection of the Moses saga shows his dedication to steering Parramatta through their challenges with resilience and determination.
