Australia coach Jess Skinner expects a difficult World Cup semi-final against Fiji, who have reached the last four in their tournament debut.
"They're going to be tough," Skinner said.
She said Fiji's campaign had alerted other teams to their threat.
"They've had an outstanding campaign, and what they did to the Kiwis put the rest of the competition on notice.
"They're dangerous, they play expansive, quick footy."
The match will also reunite former Sydney Roosters teammates Tarryn Aiken and Taina Naividi as opponents, with a place in the final at stake.
A year ago, both were recovering from torn ACLs as the Roosters suffered their first loss of the season in the NRLW grand final.
They later shared club success, and Aiken said their rehabilitation had strengthened their bond.
"We've got a good relationship, we've been through it together with the knees," Aiken said of Naividi.
Aiken arrived at the Roosters as an established NRLW star, while coach John Strange signed Naividi, then an unknown prospect.
"Strangey sort of found her out of nowhere, she wasn't signed anywhere," Aiken said.
"She came in the last week of pre-season a few years ago and she's just killed it ever since."
Aiken praised Naividi's performances for Fiji, who have made the semi-finals in their first World Cup appearance.
"It's been great to watch her carve up for Fiji. I know how much it means to her to play in that jersey."
